Term-Time Lessons & Structured Learning

Our weekly term-time lessons follow the progressive Scottish Swimming Learn to Swim Pathway. Designed to build safe, confident, and competent swimmers, the curriculum focuses on core aquatic skills, stroke technique, and stamina.

Our Learning Pathway Stages

1. Early Years & Water Confidence: Focuses on water acclimatisation, safe entry and exit, blowing bubbles, floating, and building independent movement through fun, games-based learning.

2. Core Skills & Foundations: Introduces fundamental body position, streamline floating, kicking mechanics, and basic arm actions without buoyancy aids.

3. Stroke Development: Builds technique across all four competitive strokes (Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly) alongside safe diving and underwater skills.

4. Technique & Endurance: Refines breathing patterns, stroke efficiency, turns, and stamina, preparing swimmers for club swimming or lifelong recreational fitness.

Holiday Intensive Swimming Courses

Fast-track your child’s progress with our popular holiday intensive courses held at Kilgraston during school breaks.

Running across consecutive days during holiday periods, these intensive sessions provide regular, concentrated pool time that accelerates skill retention and builds water confidence quickly.
