1. Introduction
  • By enrolling in lessons with Young Talent Swim School (“YTSS”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  • These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable and effective learning environment for all swimmers.
  1. Bookings & Payments
  • Lesson fees are charged monthly.
  • Monthly payments are calculated based on the number of lessons available within that particular month.
  • Payments must be made using the payment method specified by YTSS.
  • Failure to make payment may result in lessons being suspended until the account is brought up to date.
  1. Cancellation & Withdrawal
  • Members wishing to withdraw from lessons must provide a minimum of four weeks’ notice in writing.
  • Notice should be submitted by email to the contact details provided by YTSS.
  • Lesson fees remain payable throughout the notice period.
  • YTSS reserves the right to terminate a swimmer’s enrolment where behaviour, conduct or non-payment makes continued participation inappropriate.
  1. Missed Lessons & Catch-Up Lessons
  • We do not offer refunds for missed lessons.
  • YTSS aims to offer catch-up lessons for swimmers who miss a lesson due to illness, holidays or other personal circumstances.
  • Catch-up lesson requests should be made before the scheduled lesson start time. Lessons missed without notice may not be eligible for a catch-up lesson.
  • Catch-up lessons are offered as a goodwill gesture, are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Catch-up lessons should normally be used within 3 weeks of the missed lesson and cannot be exchanged for refunds, credits or transferred to another swimmer.
  • If YTSS cancels a lesson due to instructor absence, pool closure or another circumstance within our control, a catch-up lesson, account credit or refund will be provided.
  1. Health & Medical Information
  • Parents, guardians and adult swimmers are responsible for informing YTSS of any medical condition, allergy, injury or additional support needs that may affect participation.
  • Medical information must be kept up to date throughout the swimmer’s enrolment.
  • Swimmers should not attend lessons if they are unwell, particularly where illness may affect their safety or the wellbeing of others.
  • YTSS reserves the right to refuse participation where a swimmer’s health may place themselves, staff or other swimmers at risk.
  1. Supervision & Collection
  • Parents and guardians remain responsible for swimmers before the start of lessons and immediately after lessons have finished.
  • Swimmers remain under the supervision of YTSS instructors only during their scheduled lesson time.
  • All swimmers arriving early must remain with their parent, guardian or responsible adult until their lesson begins.
  • Parents and guardians should be ready to collect swimmers promptly at the end of each lesson.
  • Children using changing facilities must comply with the venue’s changing room policies.
  1. Behaviour & Conduct
  • Swimmers, parents and spectators are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, venue employees and other users at all times.
  • Any behaviour that compromises safety, disrupts lessons or causes distress to others may result in removal from a lesson or termination of membership.
  • Swimmers must follow all instructions given by their teacher or lifeguard.
  • Members agree to observe all venue rules and any notices issued by YTSS.
  1. Photography & Video Recording
  • Parents, guardians and spectators must not take photographs or videos during lessons unless specifically authorised by YTSS.
  • Photography and video recording within changing areas is strictly prohibited.
  • Any use of photographs or videos by YTSS for promotional purposes will be subject to separate consent where required.
  1. Safeguarding
  • The safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults is a priority for YTSS.
  • All swimming teachers are appropriately qualified and PVG checked where required.
  • Teachers may occasionally use minimal physical guidance when delivering swimming instruction. This will always be carried out professionally, respectfully and only where it is considered beneficial to the swimmer’s learning and safety.
  • YTSS operates in accordance with its Safeguarding & Child Wellbeing Policy, which is available on our website or upon request.
  1. Changes to Lessons
  • YTSS reserves the right to change teachers, lesson times, lesson structures, venues or class groupings where reasonably necessary.
  • We will provide as much notice as possible where changes affect existing bookings.
  • YTSS reserves the right to cancel or amend lessons where circumstances require.
  1. Liability
  • YTSS will take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for swimmers.
  • Participation in swimming activities involves an element of inherent risk and all participants take part at their own risk.
  • Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
  • YTSS accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings brought to lessons or left within venue facilities.
  1. Data Protection

  • Personal data will only be used for purposes connected with lesson delivery, safety, administration and legal obligations.
  • Our Privacy & Cookie Policy is available on our website or upon request.
